About the project
Introduction
Millions of people suffer from mental health problems. Some people are able to resolve them, but for others mental health problems can be both a cause and a consequence of social exclusion.
Aim of the project
The project aims to demonstrate the link between mental health problems and social exclusion. The focus is in particular on existing best practices that can contribute to tackling the inequalities that people with mental health problems encounter, in access to health and social services, employment, education, training services, housing, leisure activities as well as in the protection of their civil and human rights.
Objectives of the project
- to identify, collect and analyse good practices combating social exclusion of people with mental health problems in the participating countries;
- to assess the transferability of the practices to other European countries, taking into account the major existing socio-economic and cultural differences;
