The project "Good Practices for Combating Social Exclusion of People with Mental Health Problems" is a transnational exchange project funded under the European Commission Community Action Programme to Combat Social Exclusion (2002-2006).
It gathers mental health organisations from ten EU Member States, five of the EU-15 Member States - Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy and the UK - and five of the EU-10 Member States - Cyprus, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

This website provides information about the aim and objectives of this project as well as about the activities that were carried out in the frame of it. It also contains a database of good practices that were identified in each of the partner countries, in the area of health and social services, employment, education, training services, housing, transport, leisure activities and civil and human rights. The database is intended to be a source of inspiration for all who wish to learn about small, local initiatives that can be transferred to other countries to contribute to improving the social inclusion of people with mental health problems. The database will be constantly updated and extended to include good practices from other Member States of the European Union.

The project is led by Mental Health Europe and supported by the European Commission, DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities - Community Action Programme to Combat Social Exclusion 2002-2006.
